Hudson Valley Artist, 
Beth DeWit
lives and works in the New York 
metro area. She is primarily
self-taught and is an artist of diverse 
experience. Many of her skills were 
acquired while working as an apprentice
 in various studios and later, for 
herself, as a professional Decorative 
Painter. She has made her living in 
arts-related fields for most of her 
adult life. Her experience includes 
Decorative Painting and Murals, 
Illustration, Photography and darkroom 
printing, Computer Graphics, and 
Jewelry Design.

Beth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in 
English Literature from the University 
of Iowa.
Recently Ms. DeWit has studied various arts genres in the New York region with artists David Fox, Andrew Lattimore,  Nadine Gordon Taylor and jeweler Jennifer Rutheny.

Her Decorative Painting can be seen in upscale residential and commercial locations around the Northeast and Northwestern United States. Her Photography has been exhibited in the Northern Westchester Photography Exhibit and the Peekskill Open Studios Exhibit in Westchester County, NY and her jewelry has been shown at Rutheny’s Gallery in Croton-On-Hudson, NY and the Flatiron Gallery in Peekskill, NY.  She is a member of the Hudson Crafts Collective, a group of jewelers and artisans who sell their work in shows around the Hudson Valley region.
