Silver Light

Winter

It strikes me how the color of light washes over everything and  steers my emotional world. The silver light of winter opens my eye like an aperture.... creates a world shimmering with a mercurial glow. Sound is muted by the snow covered ground and the silence is graceful and welcome. The sharpness of white and the deep blacks of the bare wet tree barks thrill me. A red scarf bursts it’s way into my visual landscape. The hard cold air sends it’s shards into my nostrils and my head opens with joy.
